We have been reading about a boy who lives in Qui Nhon.  His father is a fisherman and they own a basket boat called a thung chai.

A thung chai can be used to  fishing , ferry passengers between their boats and the shore and practise rowing..

A hot sunny day

During a hot red sunny day I was walking on the sand It felt like I was burning as lava.I ran really quickly to the sea and I felt so much better I knew I should have got my shoes.

What a disaster

The author said that there was a rena crashed in Astrolabe Reef.it was going to the port at tauranga.the rena was carring 1700 tonnes of heavy fuel of oil and 1300 containers some of them had dangerous goods inside.

When they got to there nana and grandad place they smelled a horrible smell like a petrol station it made them a bit sick.when they went to the beach it had black blobs of oil in the sand and it was covered with tiny specks of oil.it was poisonous.
