Did you know the world record in this event is held by American sprinter Maurice Greene with a time of 6.39 seconds But the current world record of 9.58 seconds is held by Usain Bolt of jamaica and was set on 16 August 2009.At the 2009 World Athiletics Championship.The women’s World record is 10.49 seconds and was set by Florence Griffith-Joyner.

Traithlon reasearch

Triathlon has 3 events it has swimming,biking then running.Triathletes compete for fastest overall course completion time including timed transition between the individual swim, cycle and run component.The athletes overall time for the races includes time spent in T1 and T2.

In triathlon they have swim 1500 meters and when they are finish swimming they have to bike 40 kilometers and then they run 10 kilometers.

World war 1

Today is special because on August the 4th in 1914 World War 1 started. That was 100 years ago. World war 1 began in Europe and Europe is a big country and near Asia.New Zealand,Australia and Canada were team up in the war. But Did you know that 16,697 New Zealanders died in World War 1 and 41,317 were wounded during the war.

During World War 1 the kiwis went by ship to reach the countries. They left New Zealand in 1914 and only came back in 1917. Did you know that they had it in Europe?
