WALT: research animals and their adaptations.

This is my script below.

My chosen animal is the Desert Hairy Scorpion.The Scorpion's adapt to the desert through hairs on their legs and other body parts that enable them to be more  sensitive to air temperature. It likes to eat Spiders, Lizard, Mice and mammals. Most Scorpions hide under logs, rocks, boards, and clutter.

This creation was such a cool creation, it was made from Google. It made people to see everything in the world, but there is one thing it is 3D. This creation is made with cardboard and a special phone that makes it 3D, and when you look in the Google cardboard it really looks like your in a different dimension. You can look and discover new things around the country, like for an example you can look underwater, places and special apartment. If you want to make one all you need is cardboard and a phone that can go on apps like sumsung and Iphone.

Basketball slam dunk jam

TJ Jackson going for a 360 windsmill, MANN!!! that was epic, let’s see what the judges will give you. 8, 9, 8, 8, 7 nice very good.

Now it’s Andre Peterson turn.” Watch I’m going to win this, I will bet you I will get a BIG 10”, Shouted Andre.

The Chocolate game

In the morning we saw Mr S, we were so surprised to see him. When we came in Mr S came up with a game called the Chocolate game. Before we started Mr S told us the rules to this game. He said the rules is you only can cut one piece of chocolate a time, then he said if you roll the dice and it lands on a six then you have to come in the middle dress up and cut out the chocolate.

Finally the game has started. We started off with bradley he looked a bit nervous. Mr S said the game starts in 3, 2, 1 go. When bradley rolled the dice he didn't get a six so he had to hand it over. Later on the diced went to me, so when I rolled the dice I got a SIX! I had to come in the middle and I had to dress up and cut out the chocolate. ummmm the chocolate was nice.

Lastley it came to Zack he rolled the dice, and he got a six. When he came to the middle he dressed up and started to eat the chocolate. Zack was speeding up when he was eating the chocolate.

Burger king

BBQ RODEO

I like burger king because I like their burger BBQ rodeo it so nice it makes me eat a whole bunch of them. I like it when the onion rings are nice and crispy, and I like it when the paddy's and cheese is nice.

WHOPPER JR

The second burger I like is the whopper jr. it is so nice it makes my mouth melt. I like it because the paddy is nice, and the texture of the paddy ummmm!!!!! nice. The burger comes from Burger king.

Jump

Have you ever been to Jump?

Last Thursday me and my family went to Jump in East Tamaki. We went to Jump because we all planned to go there. Once we got there we started to walk in through the entrance. My aunty went to go pay the ticket so that we could go in. When she paid it we all walked to the trampolines and we all started to jump.

When you go to jump there are all kinds of trampolines there is normal ones, big ones, angle ones and even GIGANTIC ONES!!! There is a basketball hoop where you can get the ball and you can slam dunk and shoot it. When we played around one of the jump helpers said”all of use on the trampoline you guys have to come off “ , so we all came off. Once we got our shoes we walked to the car and we went to burger king ummmmm my favorite.

At burger king I had a BQQ rodeo combo. It was NICE. After that we were tired so we all went home.THE END

Cross Country

On Monday the 7th of September we had Cross Country.

Have you ever done cross country before, well I have. On Monday the 7th of September we had one of the best cross country ever. In our cross country we started off by putting our home colour’s on. I was yellow, Lomio was green and John was blue. After that all of us went to the court to have a little meeting about the cross country run. Then Mr Burt told us that the year 1 boys are going to start first.

When it was the year 5 boy’s turn, we knew it was going to be our turn next. When it was our turn we started walking to the starting line. Once we got on the starting line Mr Burt told us to come in a circle so he can tell us where are we running. Mr Burt said we are running around the reserve only 1 lap, so when we got back to the starting line we had to wait until Mr Burt does the clapers. Once we heard we started sprinting it, and  when we started sprinting I saw Lomio coming first, Flynlay coming 2nd and Junior was coming 3rd.

When we got past the cone all of us started jogging it because we were quite tired from the sprints. Then we saw Mr Slade on the 3rd cone, he was telling us to run right, but we didn't hear him so we were still running. Then we saw Mr Sommerville he came running to us and he warned us. he warned us because we were running the wrong way, so Junior, Adam, Lomio and John-Amour were coming a tie. After that I saw John-Amour coming first, Junior coming second and Lomio and adam were racing to the finish line, but I gas him with all my energy so Lomio came 3rd, Junior came 2nd and John-Amour came 1st.The end :)

Living on a shoestring

The task we had to do a advice column. On the first slide we had to write 2 sentences to explain to kids what our advice column is for. In this task we had to receive a letter from this man named dad. He needed help with making and saving more money. We had to write down are own information about making and saving money.

Timber

Walt: compare and contrast one item with another This is our task. Our task was to find about the differences and similarities between Maori and European. In this task we had to make a padlet with all of our information about timber. If you click on the padlet link then you will see some ideas about timber

Advice column

Walt: think critically about what we read. This is what me and my friend David had done we have done a advice column.We had to think witch was the best out of Garmin Vivo review and Fitbit Charge, but me and David picked Garmin because it is waterproof and it is really good to improve your fitness. Me and David have 2 reason you shouldn't get fit bit.

1. Fit bit is not waterproof so you better take it off well your in the shower or well your swimming.
2.And it is to complicated to get up and run.

Even though Garmin has low stars it is the best.

Trade and Enterprise

This term our topic was Trade and Enterprise. Our learning was to focus on creating and selling products in our business groups. We were split up into 6 business groups and some of them made food, stationery products and accessories.  

As part of our terms topic we had a trade fair. This is when you take orders and start designing our own ideas. We had to create a presentation with all of our ideas, so that people knew what we were selling.

For the trade fair my friend Judah and I have created a business called custom labels. The product that we have designed is made online. We are selling custom labels for only 1 PT.

Me and my friend is really excited about our market day coming up in week 8! We are hoping to make lots of PTs and lots of Pieces. If you are around at Pt England school then, please come and buy something from us!

I have done a presentation called check my number. In this presentation we had to pick our favorite decimal number, and my favorite decimal number is 3.5. So in this presentation we had to solve each problem in each slide.

3D shapes

Hi my names is junior and this is the task we have been given.we were given a task to do with 3D shapes. We had to find out how many vortex, Edges and faces does a Tetrahedron, cube and a pyramid have. So we had to create a presentation about all these three shapes.

If I had 1 Million dollars

When I woke up for school I went to my bag and guess what was in my bag was 1 MILLION DOLLARS!!!!!!!!!. When I saw it I was really stoked and I didn't even wanted to go school,but I only could pay my 1 million dollars in one day.This would be really really fun having 1 million dollars because I can nearly buy everything in every shop.

One of the shops I went to was one of the best selling toy shop Toy World.I wouldn't buy anything thing for me, but I would buy some things for my friends and family.

Then I would go to JB HIFI because it is a fun store.At JB HIFI I would buy my sister a sumsung galaxy S6 and a laptop.Another thing I would buy is a PS4 for my cousin because he always wanted a PS4 or a Xbox one.

The shop Footlocker is one of my favorite shoe shop I ever went to.At footlocker I will buy My sister converses because she always wanted White converse and I would buy me red and black Jordan flights.

My favorite part is spending my money on stuff for my family and my friends.I really enjoyed spending all the 1 million dollars because I have everything I need and everything my family and friends need.

I like this job because I like to make classes clean, especially classrooms that are very dirty.In this job you have to clean your  classroom, but you have to clean it very properly.

I want this job because I like cleaning classrooms, cars, houses and even places.In this job I like cleaning classrooms that has less rubbish.Being a classroom cleaner is very fun because if you listen then you will get paid.When you finish you will get a break, but sometimes it tiring.

I always get use to clean because I always have to clean up the house.When I finish cleaning up I even have to clean up my sister mess and sometimes she blames me.When I finish doing her mess there’s always more mess.Classroom cleaner is tiring, but being a classroom cleaner is alright for me, but when I do it I will make sure I cleaned it properly because if I don’t do it properly then I won’t get paid really well.

My name is Junior and this is my side scrolling game it is called the death of ninjas.In my game I am a ninja and his name is rocky.He is a ninja that saves other people's lives, but he kills the monsters.The boss is a rock monster with crystals at the back of him.He is the one that makes all of the monsters.The point of my game is to find the treasure before the boss does, but before you get the treasure you will have to vs the boss and his name is evil crystal man.

Sunsmart

Junior and Richard also Judah) The sun is so hot. This means you will need a hat to cover your face and sunscreen on your skin to stop you from getting burnt. These are the two really important things that you will need if it's summer.

If you want to be sunsmart then you will need a hat. Hats are really good because it will protect your face from the burning sun. Especially one with a wide brim. A hat is really important because you might get skin cancer and skin cancer mostly happens on your faces and your neck then any parts of your body.

Another way to stay safe is to put on some sunscreen. The sun is dangerous so you will have to watch out.Sunscreen is really good to put on your skin because it protects your skin from getting burnt. The best one to use is SPF30+ because it gives you less sunburn.It is best to use it when it is summer.

lastly put on some sunglasses. Put on sunglasses to protect your eyes. Sunglasses are really usefull for your eyes because you might get blind. UV radiations can affect your eyesight.You will have to watch out for your eyes.

And don’t forget to slip, slop slap and wrap!!
